BENEFITS OF GLCCA

Being part of GLCCA can provide numerous benefits to our children. Here are just a few of the many benefits that children can experience by participating in choir with us:

  1. Improved musical skills: Children who sing in choirs have the opportunity to develop their musical abilities,
including their pitch, rhythm, and singing technique. They also learn to blend their voices with others, creating
    a harmonious sound.

  2. Boosted confidence: Singing in front of an audience can be nerve-wracking, but it can also help children develop confidence and self-esteem. The positive feedback they receive from their choir directors, peers, and audience members can help them feel proud of their accomplishments.

  3. Socialization: Choirs bring children together from diverse backgrounds and allow them to form meaningful relationships. Through group rehearsals, performances, and social events, children can develop strong bonds with their choir members and make new friends.

  4. Cultural awareness: Children's choirs often perform music from different cultures, giving young singers
exposure to diverse styles of music and ways of life. This can help broaden their perspectives and foster
    cultural understanding and appreciation.

  5. Emotional and mental well-being: Singing has been shown to have a positive impact on emotional and
mental well-being. Children who participate in choirs may experience reduced stress, increased happiness,
and a greater sense of purpose.

  6. Teamwork and collaboration: Choirs require cooperation and collaboration to achieve a common goal.
Children learn to work together and support each other, building valuable teamwork skills that will serve
    them well in the future.

GLCCA provides a supportive and FUN environment where children can grow as individuals and as part of a community.
